Misty Galloway, President and Treasurer
Misty is a dedicated entrepreneur and the proud owner of a woman-owned business. With a Masters Degree in Nutrition, her passion for improving health and wellness has led to her authoring a children's nutrition book that has inspired countless young readers to make healthier food choices, empowering the next generation with knowledge and enthusiasm for a balanced diet. In addition to her professional achievements, Misty is an active member of her local community. She serves on the PTO fundraising committee for her local elementary school, where she helps develop and execute initiatives that support educational enrichment and community engagement. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health with a focus on Behavioral Health, Misty is committed to furthering her expertise to make an even greater impact on public health policies and practices.
Angelica Read, Vice-President
Born in Colombia and currently residing in Houston, Angelica has a robust background in fostering inclusive workplace environments and driving organizational effectiveness. In her current role as Vice President of Human Resources, Angelica has successfully led initiatives that enhance employee engagement, diversity, and leadership development. Beyond the corporate realm, Angelica is an active member of the Houston Rodeo Speakers Committee, where she shares her expertise and inspires others through public speaking engagements. She is also a dedicated contributor to Houston Dress for Success, an organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help them thrive in work and life.
Angelica believes in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Her work with non-profits reflects a deep-seated commitment to making a positive impact, both within her professional sphere and the broader community.
Pauline Bui, Executive Director
Pauline Bui, originally from Vietnam, has spent the majority of her life in Houston, and she has earned both a BBA and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. With a robust background in project management, she is currently steering cybersecurity projects at CenterPoint Energy. Her career as an IT project consultant has primarily been centered in the oil & gas sector, where she has honed her expertise in managing complex and impactful initiatives. Beyond her professional achievements, Pauline is a devoted fitness enthusiast who enjoys exercise and staying active. Pauline is the proud mother of three grown children and looks forward to the day she becomes a grandparent. Her dedication to her family mirrors her commitment to her community.
Stephanie Burriss, Executive Director
With over 20 years of multifamily residential experience in the greater Houston area, Stephanie is a seasoned professional in the real estate industry. Her expertise has been acknowledged through multiple awards, and she holds both the National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) and Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designations from the National Apartment Association (NAA). Stephanie's commitment to education is evident from her tenure as an instructor for the Real Estate Program at Houston Community College. During her time there, she equipped students with essential knowledge and specialized skills for careers in leasing and property management. Her dedication extends to her active involvement in the Houston Apartment Association, where she contributes significantly within the Education Committee and serves on several other committees. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Stephanie is deeply committed to giving back to the community. She volunteers with Grateful Americans Charity, collaborating closely with the PTSD Foundation of America and Camp Hope. Through this work, Stephanie helps provide vital resources to Veterans, aiding their transition back into everyday life and ensuring they receive the support they need.
Madison Galloway, Secretary
Madison is a recruiting consultant with a passion for helping people find their ideal careers and matching them with the right companies. When not assisting clients, you can find her enjoying quality time with her 3.5-year-old daughter, Emily. Being a mother is one of her proudest achievements and it brings immense joy to her life. In addition to family time, Madison has a deep love for woodworking and welding, skills she's honed alongside her grandfather.
She is currently completing a bachelor's degree in business management and has her sights set on climbing the corporate ladder. Her ultimate goal is to obtain a master's degree in business and continue to grow professionally as a contributing member to the community.
